Cane Ridge Celebration
Kentucky Christian University Presents
The Cane Ridge Celebration
One week in 1801 is all it took. Beginning August 6, what was expected to be a typical meeting quickly became a unity revival of over 20,000 people. It was at Cane Ridge (Paris, Kentucky) that the proclamation of the unification effects of the gospel was accomplished and we are experiencing the effects of it to this day. This was the start of the Restoration Movement.
Kentucky Christian University invites you to celebrate this 222nd anniversary with us. On May 20, 2023, we are hosting a Cane Ridge Celebration and communion service. Registration and check-in will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Cane Ridge.
Dr. Keith P. Keeran, former President of Kentucky Christian University, and Dr. Rob Shoaff, Dean of the Keeran School of Bible & Ministry will be our featured speakers.
A special communion service will be led by Doug Martin, KCU’s Director of Church and Alumni Relations.
Lunch will be served on the grounds and will be provided by Sonny’s BBQ.
Consider this your invitation to celebrate the roots of the Restoration Movement and explore how you can partner with us as we prepare leaders for the movement’s future.
