Young Library provides access to two catalogs:
Online Catalog / Discovery System
This catalog/discovery system can be used to search all of the available materials at Young Library. For help in using this Catalog/Discovery system, refer to our Tutorial –Kentucky Christian University’s Library Catalog/ Discovery System
What you can use this catalog for:
– SEARCH
- – Look for KCU library materials. This includes print books, e-books, streaming film, and print journals.
–COURSE RESERVES
- – See what titles your professor has placed on reserve
– VIEW PATRON RECORD
- – See what books you have checked out
- – See when your books are due
- – Renew your books
– REQUEST INTERLIBRARY LOAN
– Find and borrow items from other libraries to complete your assignments.
LOCATING ADDITIONAL RESOURCES
Young Library’s new catalog allows you to search for materials all around the world. Sign in to the Library Catalog/ Discovery system. Perform your search using the basic or the Advanced search screen. In the left hand column, under the “Library” drop down, select “Libraries Worldwide”. You will be able to locate additional materials on your topic as well as any materials located in our library. To acquire access to these resources, just click on the “Request Item through Interlibrary Loan” button. Please allow 10 days for the request to be processed and received. You will be contacted by e-mail when your request is ready to be picked up. Click on the link for more information on locating and requesting InterLibrary Loans.
