Malachi McDaniel Academic Resource Center

Our goal at Kentucky Christian University is for our students to grow in Christ and help you succeed. We know that students’ success often depends on having a supportive environment. The Malachi McDaniel Academic Resource Center is just the place to obtain that support. Here are a few of the free services we have available for our students.

The Malachi McDaniel Academic Resource Center has drop-in tutoring in most subject areas that are taught at KCU. The ARC, which is housed in the Young Library, supports a computer lab, various study skills and handouts. We have tutors available throughout the day that are trained and willing to help with your classes. We have Praxis prep help through either small group, or individual assistance. Contact the ARC as soon as you feel like you’re having difficulty with a class. Don’t wait until it is too late. If you are frustrated, or simply confused, stop by and get clarification.

If you feel confident but just want a little extra help studying for an exam, feedback on a paper, or have a math problem that has got you baffled, we can help. Or, feel free to stop by and just study. Remember, we are here for you! Tutoring hours are posted daily on the white board.

You can work with the same tutor each time or see a different one depending on your schedule. Tutoring sessions are free and you don’t need an appointment—just stop in.

If you have any questions, contact Deborah Elliott, director of the Malachi McDaniel Academic Resource Center at delliott@kcu.edu

Opportunity to Use My Abilities for God

“At KCU I was able to learn under the guidance of the best ministry professors and administrators. KCU gave me
my first opportunity to use my abilities for God. KCU gave me an opportunity to excel athletically, artistically, and
academically. But most of all, when I look back on my time at KCU, I will remember the people. I will remember the
smiles, I will remember the laughs my friends and I shared. KCU is a family and one I am very proud to be in.”

Cody Sabol, Class of 2017
