KCU’s Strategic Vision & Action Plan for 2026–2030

Kentucky Christian University is moving forward with a clear and Christ-centered vision for the future. The For the Good of the Cause Strategic Vision & Action Plan guides KCU’s work from 2026 through 2030 as we strengthen our mission, expand access, support students, and prepare servant leaders for the Church and society.

Our Mission

Kentucky Christian University exists to glorify God by providing a Christ-centered, biblically grounded education that prepares servant leaders for the Church and society.

This mission remains the foundation of every strategic choice, every academic program, every student experience, and every step forward.

A Strategy Rooted in Mission

At KCU, strategic planning is more than a list of tasks. It is about making faithful, focused choices that position the University to fulfill its mission in a changing world.

As God leads, KCU is choosing a path that strengthens our identity, expands our reach, and prepares students to live out their calling with Christ-like character.

Our Core Values

KCU’s core values shape how we make decisions, develop programs, build campus culture, and set institutional priorities.

Christ First

Christ remains at the center of who we are and what we do.

Character Formed

KCU is committed to shaping students whose lives reflect integrity, humility, service, and faithfulness.

Calling Fulfilled

Students are not simply preparing for a job. They are discovering who God has called them to become.

Mission-Fit Enrollment Strategy

KCU will strengthen student success by recruiting and retaining students who are aligned with the University’s Christ-centered mission and prepared to thrive academically and spiritually.

This strategy focuses on students who are receptive to spiritual formation, ready for academic rigor, motivated to persevere, and supported by a sustainable financial plan that helps them complete their degree.

Centralized Online Expansion

KCU will expand access through a centralized online education model that allows students to pursue a Christ-centered education even when they cannot relocate to campus.

This strategy supports the development of scalable online learning systems while maintaining KCU’s commitment to spiritual formation, church-based field learning, and meaningful faculty support.

Flexible Pricing & Program Access

KCU will develop tuition and financial aid strategies that balance affordability with long-term financial sustainability.

This includes mission-aligned pricing models that expand access for mission-fit students while remaining competitive in professional, graduate, and licensure-driven programs.

Alignment of Campus Culture & Identity

KCU will strengthen mission alignment across academics, athletics, student life, and the overall campus experience.

Faculty, staff, and coaches will serve as “culture carriers,” helping students experience a community where spiritual formation, academic engagement, and meaningful relationships are intentionally cultivated.

Strategic Collaboration & Shared Stewardship

KCU will pursue mission-aligned collaboration with other Restoration Movement-rooted institutions and partners.

This includes exploring shared services, joint initiatives, coordinated online delivery, integrated personnel, and strategic partnerships that expand capacity while stewarding res

Prepared for the World

“KCU was more than a University, it was also a home for me. Professors didn’t just worry about my grades, but they knew about my life, provided counsel, encouraged me, and pushed me to grow. I felt that my education for ministry was amazing and really helped prepare me for ministry. A lot of my spiritual mentors have come out of KCU and also some lifelong friendships with fellow students. KCU might not be the biggest school, but it has one of the biggest hearts.”
