Grayson, KY — June 24, 2025 — Kentucky Christian University (KCU) marked a historic milestone today with a campus celebration honoring the complete elimination of institutional debt and the public launch of its bold new capital campaign: For the Good of the Cause. The event, held on the Grayson campus, brought together students, alumni, faculty, donors, and community leaders for a ceremonial announcement, a moment of thanksgiving, and a renewed commitment to the future of Christ-centered higher education.
“We have officially entered a new era of faithfulness, viability, and relevance,” said KCU President Dr. Terry Allcorn. “Becoming debt-free is not the end—it is the beginning. This campaign is about building forward with confidence and calling.” The “For the Good of the Cause” capital campaign seeks to raise $7 million, with over $5 million already received in gifts and commitments. The campaign will fund three strategic priorities:
1. Eliminating University Debt – Achieved! The first $3 million was used to eliminate all institutional debt, freeing KCU to reinvest in mission-centered growth.
2. Program Expansion – The next $2 million will support academic expansion, particularly within the Keeran School of Bible and Ministry, reinforcing KCU’s commitment to preparing students for leadership in the church.
3. Student Experience Enhancements – The final $2 million will fund vital upgrades to student housing and shared spaces across campus, ensuring a transformative learning environment.
The campaign embodies KCU’s dedication to its founding mission: equipping students to serve and lead in the name of Christ. “God is moving in a big way at KCU,” Dr. Allcorn said. “And I
invite you to join Him in that movement.” With a Christ-centered foundation and a clear vision for the future, Kentucky Christian University is equipped to serve churches and communities for generations to come.
