Position Description: Associate Minister

Full-Time

Location: Olney, Illinois

The Associate Minister position is a full-time position dedicated to serving and growing the spiritual life of the church. Currently, the position would focus on children (K-5th grade), leading a paid children’s ministry lead and being the lead for youth (6th-12th grade).  The Associate Minister will also preach approximately 6 to 8 times per year, contributing to the church’s overall vision. This role requires a passion for discipling the next generation and partnering with families to nurture faith formation.

Qualifications:
A vibrant and growing relationship with Christ.
Experience in youth and/or children’s ministry, with a proven ability
to disciple young people.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to preach and teach.
Bachelor’s degree in ministry, theology, or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to recruit and lead volunteers.
Alignment with the Christian Church of Olney’s theology, mission, and values.

This role would be ideal for an individual with a youth background who is interested in eventual growth to a full-time pulpit position.
