KCU Announces Sixth President

Kentucky Christian University is proud to announce that on Friday, August 16th, the Board of Trustees unanimously approved Dr. Terry Allcorn as the University’s sixth President. Dr. Allcorn follows Dr. Jeffrey Metcalf who announced in September 2018 that he would step down after 10 successful years as president & CEO of KCU. Terry and his wife, Jacqueline, are both graduates of KCU.

In addition to graduating from KCU in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministry, Dr. Allcorn has earned degrees from the Rio Grande Bible Institute (Spanish Certificate), Ashland Theological Seminary (MA, Cross Cultural Studies), Cleveland State University (MA, Spanish Language and Literature) and Capella University (PhD, Education).

Dr. and Mrs. Allcorn have been involved in full-time vocational ministry and mission work in Ohio and Puerto Rico. Dr. Allcorn has held significant leadership roles in Christian higher education, and currently serves as Dean of Business and Hospitality at Valencia College in Kissimmee, Florida.

In a video to the campus community, Dr. Allcorn said, “I am thrilled and privileged to be the next president of Kentucky Christian University and follow in the footsteps of men I admire greatly and to work with a team that is so experienced and strong as this one.”

Please be praying with us as Dr. Allcorn and his family make the transition to Grayson, KY in the coming weeks.
