Sturgis First Christian Church

Position Description: Sturgis First Christian Church is seeking a full-time senior pastor to lead the church into a new era of growth and service.   The town of Sturgis, KY is in beautiful Union County in west Kentucky with borders close to Indiana and Illinois.  The church pulls members and attendees from Sturgis and surrounding towns.   The ideal candidate is a man who is committed to the principles of the Restoration Movement and is, above all, faithful to the Scriptures. He will possess (or be actively pursuing) a Bachelor’s degree in Ministry, Bible, Preaching, or similar areas.  Post-post-graduate degree or work is a plus.   Ministry experience of at least 5 years is desired.  The church currently has a secretary and a full-time Youth Pastor. Other leaders of the church include 4 elders and several deacons who are actively serving.  There is also a high degree of dedication and commitment among the members.  This church family is eager to welcome a new pastor who will lead, love, and guide them into a new chapter. The church has many children, teens, and young families and has no debt having recently paid off their beautiful 10-year-old church building.  The main duties of the new pastor would include preaching, teaching, overseeing the staff, leading in the pastoral care of the congregation, equipping members for ministry, loving the church, leading in outreach, and general oversight of all aspects of the church.   This position has much to offer the qualified candidate. This position can include the use of the parsonage and paid utilities.
