CPR & First Aid training (or be trained)
Familiar with climbing walls and the safety procedures is a plus
Proficient with pool upkeep is a plus, maintenance, and safety

Camp director experience is valued.
Physical requirements
This is a physically demanding job where the incumbent is required to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis, do repetitive tasks with few breaks, and so forth.
- The Board of Directors shall be responsible for the supervision of the camp director whose duties shall include, but not be limited to the following:
- Will oversee the day-to-day operation of the camp facility and programs.
- Will inform Directors of maintenance and repairs, construction and facility and equipment needs for smooth operation through regular written reports and/or at the Director’s meetings.
- Will work with the camp deans/retreat organizers to establish programs and events designed for the spiritual enrichment, development, and growth of those participating in said events.
- Will make recommendations to the Board of Directors that will promote the growth and development of the programs and facilities of the camp.
- Shall not have authority to enter into any agreement or contract on behalf of the Corporation without the express written authorization of the Board of Directors
- Fundraise to both supporting churches and individuals.
- Supervise the physical appearance, building maintenance, cleanliness, address electrical and plumbing issues of the camp.
- Maintain the grounds of the camp.
- See that any other repairs are made to the property as needed and authorized by the Directors.
- Oversee the registration of campers.
- Ensure a smooth transition between camps.
- Handle all camper waivers, insurance and claims.
- Supervise the publicity and promotion of the camp during the off-season to maximize the use of the camp.
- Supervise the canteen and get an accounting. This involves purchasing the snacks, etc. for the canteen that is used during the camp sessions.
- Supervise the kitchen staff and dietitian. This includes the planning of meals, purchase of food, rotation of stock, hiring of a cook for large retreats and camps, etc.
- Prepare meals for smaller retreats
- Recruit and oversee summer staff to operate the camp during summer
- Supervise, mentor and disciple all volunteers and/or employees hired to maintain the camp facilities.
- Train and staff Climbing tower/zipline
- Will represent the camp at rallies in the area as well as schedule visits to member congregations to update them on the happenings of the camp.
- Schedule and supervise workdays for cleanup and maintenance of the camp to ensure readiness for the camp season.
- Will serve as a clearinghouse for reservation of the campgrounds and property for use by church groups at times other than the camp season.
- Is responsible for monitoring and working with those who are in charge of groups at the camp to avoid the possibility of improprieties.
- Obtain a pool operator’s license and maintain a 61,000 gallon pool.
- Dream and execute plans with board of directors to ensure the future of the camp.
