Full-Time Associate Pastor

Position Description: Christian Church (SDCC) is a neighborhood church located in the heart of South Daytona, FL and has been ministering to the community for over 60 years.  Ministries include activities such
as pre-school and after-school care, bi-weekly food pantry, and weekly Kids Club meetings with children from neighboring South Daytona Elementary School.  Many community-based activities such as Boy
Scouts, Celebrate Recovery, and ENOCH (Every Night One Church) are hosted.

SDCC also works with county and state-wide government officials, providing Christian input to legislative decisions and liaison with those who provide this community service. Our Contemporary worship service has approximately 180 attending in person and the same viewing online. We have completed the first phase of a substantial renovation program designed to make our facility more inviting to young families and more
effective in their ministry.

Associate Pastor Job Description
Although the job posted is for a full time Associate Pastor, our long-term plan is for this Church Description
South Daytona candidate to assume the Senior Pastor role in 2027. This is a great opportunity to serve in a collaborative environment with the Senior Pastor who enjoys mentoring ministry partners.  Annual starting salary of $60,000.  When the candidate assumes the Senior Pastor role, there will be an approximate $20,000 increase.

Responsibilities
–       Pastoral
o       Acts in the absence of the Senior Pastor, performing all pastoral duties.
o       Participates in leadership meetings (Elders, Deacons, Staff, and Ministry Leaders)
o       Assists Senior Pastor in worship, preaching, and teaching.
o       Assists Senior Pastor in providing Pastoral care to the congregation and support to the many community outreach ministries of SDCC.
–       Administration
o       Support Senior Pastor in accomplishing SDCC missions and assist in improving effectiveness of ministry operations
Qualifications
–       Education
o       Bachelor’s degree in divinity or theology.
o       Master’s degree preferred.
–       Experience
o       Agreement with SDCC Statements of Beliefs (https://sdccfl.org/what-we-believe/)
o       3-5 years in full time ministry ready to step into Associate Pastor role.
o       Awareness and adherence to Restoration Movement principles.
