Position Description: Associate Pastor (worship ministry/youth ministry)

Christ’s Church of Marion County (aka Christ’s Church Ocala) is seeking an enthusiastic follower of Jesus to serve as our associate pastor.  We are praying that God will lead us to a person who will work alongside our lead pastor and who possesses specific skills in worship ministry and student ministry.  Skill sets in leading worship should include the necessary components of musical ability and an understanding of current and emerging technologies in audio and visual communications.  In our student ministry, we seek someone who can effectively communicate with Jr/Sr Hi students and lead them to a deeper relationship with Christ.

Christ’s Church is located in Marion County, Florida, which is in north central Florida, just outside the city of Ocala.  Our area is growing rapidly – particularly the southwest section of the county, where we are located.  Florida weather, no sales tax, and inland far enough to avoid hurricanes make Marion County a great place to live. Our congregation is eager to welcome a new staff member to help us increase our outreach.

We currently have two full-time staff members (lead pastor and office administrator) and two part-time staff members (senior adults pastor
and children’s director).  We are blessed to be debt-free.

The position we are seeking to fill is a full-time position. Full-time employees are compensated appropriately for their skills and labor.  All full-time employees are also provided health insurance (with the option of adding sa pouse and children if applicable).  We are a loving congregation of all ages, and we are anticipating exciting growth as lots of people who are moving into southwest Marion County. We currently have two-morning worship services with concurrent Sunday School classes, and we have a Wednesday evening meal and study for all ages.
