The Church Relations Office is grateful for the opportunity to serve churches, organizations and job seekers as they search for a minister/ ministry.

Below is a list of the ministry openings that have been submitted to the Church Relations Office. The openings are provided by the church or organization seeking a candidate and are in no way affiliated with or endorsed by Kentucky Christian University. Job candidates should contact the church or organization listed for further information regarding the position(s).

    Position Description

    We are seeking a Youth/Associate Minister who is passionate about building relationships with students and working alongside their parents to help them grow in their faith. The primary responsibilities will be to lead our student ministries for middle schoolers, high schoolers and our college students. This person would also be encouraged to be involved in other ministries in the church including: some preaching, working with our children’s director, and helping to strengthen either our Music/Worship Services or enhance our Media/Technology development.

    We are looking for a graduate from a Christian Church/Church of Christ background who has a passion to see others come to know the Lord, and build a faith that’s real and lasting.     Position Description

    Position Description

    Englewood Christian Church (ECC) located in a culturally enriched established community on the southside of Jacksonville, FL, is searching for a passionate, energetic, candidate for the position of Sr. Minister who has a love for God and a heart for His people and their families.     of an Elder (1 Timothy 3:2-7 and Titus 1:6-9). Honesty, integrity, and the ability to
    hold certain matters in confidence are critical characteristics of this man, as is a
    genuine spirit of humility and of utter dependence on the Lord.

    Summary position responsibilities:
    A. Serve as the primary preacher for the congregation in leading them in

    B. Promote and develop Bible knowledge and obedience among individuals and
    the congregation.
    C. Help the congregation in fulfilling the Great Commission of our Lord through
    local evangelistic efforts and world evangelism/missions support.
    D. Oversee the other team members to ensure that all responsibilities are being met
    with quality and excellence. Influence a positive team spirit.
    E. Stay current on the various trends in worship so that the congregation will be
    able to maximize their worship to God.
    F. Be involved as a lead teacher of adult Christian Education programs.
    G. Devote quality time to the study of God’s Word, preaching methods and
    sermon planning.
    H. Assure timely and effective follow-up of all visitors are made.

    Position Description

    Oblong Children’s Christian Home, Oblong, IL is seeking an Executive Director—Child Care who is a mature, Christian, servant leader with a heart for abused, at-risk, and troubled youth; their families; and those who serve them. Duties include leading a team of eight houseparents, counselor/caseworker, and school administrator/teacher as well as assisting in the promotion of the Home in churches in Illinois and Indiana.

    The Oblong Children’s Christian Home is a ministry of the Christian Church/Churches of Christ. The Home provides family-style group homes for youth who are between the ages of 5 and 17 at the time of placement.

    God has blessed the ministry with excellent facilities, including three group homes, a campus high school, and an indoor riding arena; all have been constructed since 1999. In 2017, construction will be completed on a new welcome center/office building. In addition, the campus includes a relief home and a residence for the Executive Director— Child Care. The ministry is debt free

    A Master’s degree in a social service field (social work, counseling, psychology, or ministry) and three to five years of administrative experience are required depending on the specific academic degree. Prior experience in a children’s home setting is preferred. The beginning salary range is $36,000 to $41,000. In addition, the Home contributes 16% of the employee’s salary to a retirement account. A large four-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath home is provided. Utilities are also included. Family health insurance is fully funded by the ministry.

    Position Description

    Construction will be starting this fall on BCC’s new Sports Outreach Center.  This 11,500 square foot space will provide a gym, weight room, fitness room, locker rooms, coffee area, gathering space, and study space.  This will offer something previously not available to our surrounding area—a community-welcoming place to work out, recreate, enjoy coffee, visit, or read.

    Bright Christian Church wishes to announce that resumes are now being accepted for the full-time position of Sports Outreach Minister.  We are seeking applications from prospective ministry individuals who are friendly, engaging, and committed to aid the connecting of people in our community with our church through athletics. 

    The focus of the Sports Outreach Minister will be to recruit/develop coaches and volunteers to lead teams/fitness classes/connect relationally with members of our community, utilizing athletics to make a spiritual difference in their lives.

    We envision this person being visionary, highly relational, well-organized and serving as a connector to increased outreach to unchurched neighbors and leadership development of current BCC volunteers.

    Additional areas of focus will be defined that will match the individual’s experience and skill strengths with existing needs in other ministry areas at Bright.
