Parkside Christian Church is looking to hire a FT Children’s Minister

Our church is located on the Eastside of Cincinnati, Ohio between Anderson Township and Mount Washington.

Parkside is a church with a major emphasis on reaching and supporting young families. Our church family serves many families through mentoring, and also has a significant group of foster/adoptive families within the church and in the community we support.

Our hope for our Children’s Ministry and this Ministerial Role is:

    • A ministry where kids are able to grow deep roots in their faith that will guide them for the rest of their lives.
    • A community where kids make lasting friendships with leaders and each other that will continue into Junior High and Highschool.
    • That it would be a second home of sorts for children. So much more than just an hour on Sunday mornings.
    • We think that this role of Children’s Minister is a challenging one that is similar to being an Elementary Principal, School Counselor, and Teacher all rolled into one.
      • It requires being able to recruit and lead a large team of volunteers
      • Coordinate events that are more than just programs but are environments for relationships and growth
      • This minister will strengthen our families at Parkside and help our kids become disciples of Jesus.

    About LVCC

Licking Valley Church of Christ is a 50+ year-old congregation located on the east side of Newark, Ohio (population 51,000).  The church building sits on 20 acres and includes a baseball field, teen event center, and parsonage.  LVCC is an elder lead assembly where the elders work closely with the Senior Minister to lead the congregation closer to Christ and visitors into a relationship with Christ.  Beginning in 2018, LVCC’s vision has been to help people BEGIN to know Jesus, BELIEVE in Him, BECOME closer followers of Him, and help BUILD His Kingdom.  Since the inception of the 2020 vision, God has blessed us with 124 decisions for Jesus Christ, a new and growing Life Group ministry (with 57% of the congregation involved), new staff positions (Student Ministry Director and Children’s Ministry Director), and remodeled spaces on the property; the Kids Point Space, teen events center, Welcome Center and Café.

Opportunity to Use My Abilities for God

“At KCU I was able to learn under the guidance of the best ministry professors and administrators. KCU gave me
my first opportunity to use my abilities for God. KCU gave me an opportunity to excel athletically, artistically, and
academically. But most of all, when I look back on my time at KCU, I will remember the people. I will remember the
smiles, I will remember the laughs my friends and I shared. KCU is a family and one I am very proud to be in.”
