    Job Title: Worship Minister Reports To: Senior Minister

    Position Status: Full-Time/Part-time

    Summary

    The Worship Minister of Milford Christian Church serves as the primary worship leader of the church. The Worship Minister is to lead the congregation in praise to God and is responsible for the weekend experiences. The Worship Minister is responsible for following the vision and mission of the church and leading the Staff and Congregation to fulfill this vision and mission in conjunction with the overseeing Ministers. The Worship Minister reports to and works directly under the Lead Minister over worship and alongside the Eldership to maintain the health and faithfulness of the church. This person should lead by example and should cultivate a positive spirit throughout the church family. The person in this role should represent Christ and His church well in the community at large and lead with integrity, courage, and humility.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Leadership

    • Coordinate & Develop Worship Services in cooperation with MCC Ministers
    • Recruit new worship and technical team members
    • Encourage and foster musical abilities in musicians
    • Develop special worship services as appropriate. (Christmas eve, Good Friday, Worship Nights)
    • Continuing knowledge of current worship practices and styles.

    Technical

    • Develop & Maintain the technical team—Audio, lighting, and presentations (FT)
    • Purchase and maintain technical equipment for the entire church under the supervision of the overseeing minister. (Lights, sound equipment, projectors, etc.) (FT)
    • Possess a working knowledge of current audio, lighting, and presentation equipment for use in any service or special event
    • Maintain a working knowledge of technology upgrades and various platforms for use in worship—recording and streaming options as well. (FT)

    Relationships

    • Counseling duties as needed and under the supervision of ministers (FT)
    • Pastoral duties (i.e. funerals, weddings, etc.) as needed (FT)
    • Work to build healthy relationships with worship team members through a variety of communication techniques and appropriate personal contact and availability

    Preferred Experience

    • Experience working with and leading teams of musicians and vocalists
    • Knowledge on how to read and understand a variety of musical notation—sheet music, lead sheets, chord charts, etc.—as well as how to use them in a blended setting.
    • Working knowledge of current worship music trends with an appreciation for traditional modes of worship and their usage when appropriate

    Job Overview
    The Minister of Administration will oversee the day-to-day operations of the church and support the Senior
    Minister in making decisions and determining the overall church direction. The person filling this position will
    work with staff to set goals and prioritize activities that will ensure execution of the church’s mission and
    vision. The Minister of Administration will be a liaison between different parties to help promote unity in the
    church.
    Responsibilities & Duties
     Works with the Senior Minister to determine the overall direction of the church and develop
    strategies to guide the church in that direction.
     Regularly meets with individual staff members to evaluate ministry effectiveness and ensure the
    overall mission and direction of the church continues to be met. This will include an annual
    performance review for each staff member to encourage and equip each person for the role they fill.
     Responsible for human resources, including staff benefits and collaborating with the Senior Minister
    to hire, reposition, transition, and dismiss staff. Will have direct supervision over all staff except for
    the Senior Minister.
     Responsible for the finances and the creation of the annual budget in conjunction with the Northside
    Christian Church Operation Committee (NCCOC)
     Attends the following meetings to help unify Northside Christian Church’s mission and help proper
    communication take place between the various groups: Elders, NCCOC, Northside Christian Academy
    (NCA), and weekly staff meetings.
     Responsible for the management of the facilities including any large repairs or new building projects.
     Assists in developing leaders within the church that can fill leadership roles in the future.
     Serves as the Superintendent of NCA.

    Position Description

     

    We seek to fill the Pastor of Family Ministries role with someone administratively gifted who displays a pastor’s heart and the gift of teaching students. He must possess the skills to plan, organize, create, and improve. He must also effectively lead and shepherd. This individual must be a self-starter.     STUDENT MINISTRY

    1. Provide leadership for the middle and high school students on and off the FCC Campus
    2. Develop spiritual maturity in existing students challenging them to leadership in the student ministry programs and the rest of the church family
    3. Work with student leaders to develop a plan of outreach to invite their friends to events where they can hear the gospel and experience the Christian community
    4. Work with adult leaders to develop a ministry plan that incorporates the wisdom and skill of adult volunteers
    5. Foster spiritual growth in students through an annual ministry plan that includes the following:

     

    1. Solid biblical teaching so students open their Bibles. This includes expository and topical teaching, consistent with the elements of Article 3 of the church Constitution.
    2. Teach students to study the Bible on their own.
    3. Encourage students in Scripture memory so they commit God’s Word to their hearts.
    4. Teach students to pray. Provide corporate and personal prayer opportunities.
    5. Teach students the importance of the church and why God made them a part of it.
    6. Help students discover and use their spiritual gifts in the student ministry and the rest of the church body

     

    1. Serve in the community

     

    1. Create small groups led by adult and student leaders.

     

    1. Build relationships with students to encourage, equip, and counsel them.
