Below is a list of the ministry openings that have been submitted to the Church Relations Office. The openings are provided by the church or organization seeking a candidate and are in no way affiliated with or endorsed by Kentucky Christian University. Job candidates should contact the church or organization listed for further information regarding the position(s).

    Position Description

    The Fairview Christian Church is looking to hire a part-time children’s ministry director.  This individual will work in cooperation with the leadership, senior minister, and associate minister of youth to encourage spiritual growth in our church family and especially with the fifth grade and below age group.  The individual would create activities and develop programs for fifth grade and below that will promote fun, fellowship, and spiritual development.  We are looking for a person who has a passion for children, and who wants to pour into their lives by teaching them God’s word, supporting their everyday lives, and by connecting with them in relationships.

    Alpha is seeking mission-minded Christian, married couples to work on our beautiful, rural campus as parents to children in need who live in our residences.  Each married couple becomes residential parents in one of our homes to children in need of a safe place to call home.  We also have an on-site, private, Christian school that the children attend, as well as plenty of ranch acreage that allows the children to participate in raising farm animals for the 4-H programs that they participate in.

    The House Parent is responsible for the care and training of children placed in the home, including nurturing the children’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs through instruction, example, and appropriate activities. This position is responsible for all of the tasks relating to personal care, housing, meals, study and recreational activities of children in a Christian residential care setting.

    Position Description

    Position: Director of Children’s Education

    The Glen Este Church of Christ, a restoration movement church is seeking candidates for the position of Director of Children’s Education.

    Requirements:

    Christian man or woman who will work with and teach elementary aged children in our congregation.

    Conduct Sunday morning Jr church services, Sunday evening children’s services, Wednesday evening bible study for children and hold regular fellowship activities for elementary aged children.

    Position Description

    Southland Christian Church is looking for 2024-2025 Residents!

    The purpose of Southland’s Residency Program is to prepare leaders for local church ministry. 

    It’s aimed at college graduates of any kind who feel a call to ministry, but need leadership training and practical hands-on experience. Residents move to Lexington, KY for one year (housing is provided), and commit to 25 hours a week (with pay) where we help equip them in servant leadership, calling clarification, and ministry preparation. They engage in cohort-style learning with other residents, as well as individual ministry specification and skill training of their choice. At the end of the year, we help connect and guide them through next steps, hopefully into local church ministry!

    Our program helps shape leaders who become:

    • Deeply rooted in their identity in Christ.
    • Self-aware and character-driven.
    • Well trained in pastoral care and ministry skills.
    • Grounded in biblical truth and theological understanding.
    • Connected to a community of other supportive leaders.

      • Acclimation to Southland’s culture.
      • Observing and serving in broad spectrum of ministry areas (both within Southland and non-profit partners) as a group.
      • Targeted core content study covering leadership, theology and doctrinal beliefs, and personal development.
    • Field Work Term (Fall/Winter/Spring): 
      • Transition from cohort style learning to ministry team placement.
      • Start field work in specific area of ministry and develop giftings and responsibility.
      • Continued core content study and practical ministry training.

      • Phasing toward graduating the program, with personal support for job placement.
