Minerva First Christian Church is seeking to fill the position of Senior Minister. The church is located in Minerva, Ohio which is in the North Eastern part of the state and in close proximity to Canton and Akron, Ohio.

The church currently has an average attendance of 140 people comprised of a diverse mixture of young families with children, as well as middle aged and senior adults. The church is housed in a large building, that has no mortgage. On the west wing of the building we also house Minerva Area Christian School- a ministry of the First Christian Church that currently has over 100 students enrolled.

We have three adult Sunday School classes before morning worship, and an evening Bible study. There are also women’s and home Bible studies that meet throughout the week.

We have a full time youth minister who lives on campus, and and have multiple youth functions for different ages on Sundays and throughout the week- including an after school experience which draws close to 70 children from the public school every Thursday afternoon during the school year, and a AWANA youth program on Sunday nights.

The duties of the Senior Minister would be to preach Biblically based and doctrinally sound sermons on a weekly basis, to serve as an Elder, to officiate weddings and funerals of church members, to fill in for Sunday School teachers as needed, to counsel members as requested, to facilitate staff meetings on a weekly basis, and to oversee the general office activities.

The position comes with a competitive full time salary and insurance package. Children of the Lead Minister have free tuition if you would choose to enroll them in Minerva Area Christian School.

Our Church believes that the Holy Bible is the absolute authority for all doctrine, that it is the inerrant Word of God directly inspired by the Holy Spirit, and we are historically associated with the Stone-Campbell Restoration movement of the Churches of Christ and Christian Churches and are looking for a like minded minister.

We have a very good relationship with our current minister but he is relocating to the West to help a church in a mission opportunity to a Native American Reservation, and will gladly answer any questions about the position that you may have.

Northeast Ohio has a large list of activities for a couple or family of any age to enjoy. Minerva has a nice small town feel but is not far from larger city amenities. The Director of Youth Ministry, a part-time position, will be responsible for shepherding the children and youth of First Christian Church on their journey to becoming followers of Jesus Christ.  This will include:

• Planning, developing and resourcing youth programming for children and youth.
• Teaching or facilitating First Kids, a children’s Sunday morning ministry for K-5th grade, from 9:30 am – 10:30 am and again fro 11:00 am – noon.
• Facilitating or teaching a youth Sunday School class for grades 6-12.
• Preparing and delivering the Children’s Moment (a brief lesson geared to children in preschool through 5th grade) during the Sunday morning worship service.
• Planning, developing and resourcing programming for youth groups (grades 6-12) and youth sponsors.  Youth groups meet on Sunday afternoons/early evenings (time negotiable).
• Coordinating and assisting volunteers with St. Andrew’s Kids, an after-school arts-based children’s program for K-5th grade (2nd and 4th Wednesdays during school year from 4:30 – 6:00 pm).
• Developing and maintaining an active volunteer base.  When volunteers are not available, assume primary leadership for programming.

Qualifications would include:

• Have a committed spiritual life, grounded in Scripture and the traditions of the church.
• Have experience working with children, youth and families.
• Possess the ability to create, lead and grow well-rounded, biblically grounded programs for children and youth.
• Be able to work and relate to all people on the theological spectrum and have a strong desire to work with the laity of the congregation.
• Have excellent organizational and developmental skills, have a caring nature, and be able to listen to and communicate successfully with a broad range of people, but particularly with children and young people.
• Post-secondary education is desired, but not necessarily a requirement.

Dover First Christian Church is searching for a Full Time Student Minister.  The primary responsibility for this position will be to serve students (and families) in Elementary School through High School. This includes outreach, discipleship and pastoral care for our students.

• Lifeguard the pond during swim time
• Assist as needed in the kitchen and dining hall, cleaning dishes, serving food,
and general housekeeping
• Daily cleaning of camp facilities, including bathrooms, cabins, dining hall, and all
other areas of camp

WWCC is a non-denominational Restoration Movement Christian Church seeking to reach lost people in our community for Jesus while also focusing on building disciples by providing life groups, equipping classes, and events for our church members. Smyrna Church of Christ is an instrumental church that has been in existence since 1977.

Currently the active membership is approximately 55 with a strong desire to grow.  We are seeking a full-time minister who is called by God and is equipped to effectively preach and teach the Word of God. Candidate must be able to fulfill the spiritual needs of the congregation through visitations, prayer, conducting weddings, funerals, and administering the ordinances of the church. Must possess biblical and spiritual qualities as outlined in Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.  Currently the minister will work under the oversight of our Leadership Team until a new Board of Elders can be established. He must believe in and support the Restoration Movement.  Our Worship Center is 9,975 sq. ft., which includes a minister office that was added in 2019.  The facility also includes a 9,700 sq. ft. Smyrna is a small town with a population of about 13,000. Two new developments are expected in the next couple of years within one mile of the church building with a potential increase in population of 3,000. Delaware’s climate is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters. Numerous outdoor and indoor activities are available in the area. Smyrna is less than a two-hour drive of Philadelphia, Baltimore, Annapolis, DC, and Delaware beaches.

Preferred Minister Qualifications:

1. Must be a licensed and ordained minister in the Church of Christ/Christian Church.
2. Be a visionary with sound judgment and discernment.
3. Prefer a minimum of five years ministry experience.
4. Prefer a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited Restoration Movement College or University.

FCC is looking for a seasoned minister to lead our current congregation in the small, rural town of Covington VA

Role:   

The FCC Lead Minister has primary responsibility for preaching and teaching the Word of God and to provide leadership, shepherding and vision to the Body in partnership with the Elders, Staff, Ministry Teams and Congregation.  He will work along side of the elders and youth coordinator to develop a long time vision plan in order to provide outreach within the community while supporting all members of the congregation in their journey for personal spiritual growth and discipleship.

 Minimum Qualifications:

• Passionately embodies God’s word and lives out the gospel in his daily life.
• Shows a deep commitment to Christ and has heart for all people of all ages
• As a baptized (immersed) believer, fully understands and supports the scripture-based doctrine of the Restoration Movement.

• Potential and desire to remain in a long-term (5 year minimum) ministry at FCC.

The Fairview Christian Church is looking to hire a full-time associate minister.  This individual will work in cooperation with the leadership and the senior minister to encourage spiritual growth in our church family and especially with the junior/senior high age group.  The individual would create activities and develop programs for sixth through twelfth grade that will promote fun, fellowship, and spiritual development.  We are looking for a person who has a passion for young people, and who wants to pour into their lives by teaching them God’s word, supporting their everyday lives, and by connecting with them in relationships.

• Experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
• Committed to the scriptures and committed to teaching them accurately and correctly.
• Strong beliefs that align with the beliefs of the Fairview Christian Church.
• Capable and willing to work with students sixth grade through twelfth grade.
• In cooperation with senior minister, oversee a part time children’s director.
• Able to recruit, oversee, and supervise volunteers to participate in teaching, events, service projects, etc.
• Capable and willing to fill in preaching from time to time is a plus, but not a requirement.
• Plan and lead events such as CIY conferences, weeks at church camp, and other ministry and fellowship related events.
• Willingness to visit and take part in the lives of our students, both in times of need, and also during their growth and development of everyday life.
