    GCR (Golf Course Road Church) was born as an independent plant of North A Church of Christ in Midland, Texas in 1963.  With a bold vision and strong belief that God was going to do something amazing, the new church facility was built at the intersection of two dirt roads with an auditorium that seated over a 1,000 people.  Since then, God has done an amazing work in West Texas and aboard.

     

    Currently, GCR supports 17 missionaries and 5 missions schools in 8 different countries, helps feed 2,500 children each day in Kenya, and is seeing over 3,000 people baptized into Christ annually through missions supported across the world.  In the United States, GCR has helped plant 49 churches in 17 states over the past decade with an ongoing goal of planting at least 3 churches a year.  Locally, the church is located in one of the fastest growing areas in the United States.

    Summary of responsibilities:

     

    The worship minister will be responsible for all aspects of the worship ministry at GCR.  They will oversee the people, structures, and systems of the worship ministry. They will provide leadership, vision and direction for the worship team.  They will identify, develop, and empower worship team members and other volunteers.  They will plan and implement music for all weekend and weekday worship experiences and events.

    Position Description

    Worship Associate – Burke Community Church, Burke, VA

    Burke Community Church is located just 12 miles outside of Washington, D.C. in a suburb called Burke, VA. The church is led by Senior Pastor Marty Baker and Executive/Worship Pastor Darren Brown. Attendance currently runs around 2,300 each week. Currently, the church offers three Sunday services, 8:00am, 9:30am and 11:00am, all of which are identical. Burke Community Church is seeking a dynamic Worship Associate with strong leadership skills, an engaging personality, and is an experienced vocalist/instrumentalist proficient in music technology.

    KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    40+ hours per week (salaried/exempt). This position includes 2-3 nights per week (Wednesdays and Thursdays plus an occasional 3rd night). This number may be exceeded in peak ministry times such as Easter and Christmas. Regular office hours will be maintained throughout the week. However, your focus will be on these 3 days:

    Wednesdays
    Overseeing the High School Student-led Worship Team. This includes meeting with student leaders, helping with song selection, running or managing rehearsals, attending Wednesday night Student Services, and investing time in Student worship team members outside of rehearsals (i.e. shepherding, fellowship). May include leading worship for High School services periodically.

    Thursdays
    Overseeing the Middle School Worship Team. While attending weekly, your responsibility includes both personally leading the worship time and working with Middle School student leaders to develop their skill and heart for leading. Outside of Thursdays, investing in worship team members, including specific training as needed and time allows. May include leading worship for Middle School services and/or retreats.

    Sundays
    Leading Worship in the Main Worship Center approximately 12 Sundays per year. Other Sundays will consist of being on stage at one of the worship venues. This will include leading in the secondary venue and/or playing a supporting role with the worship team (playing keys or other instruments, background vocals, etc.). When off the platform, assisting with the Tech Team under the direction of the Technical Producer.

    OTHER DUTIES:

    • Participate in weekly production meetings to plan, discuss, and evaluate Sunday services.
    • Meet regularly with the Executive/Worship Pastor for mentoring and development.
    • Lead worship occasionally at other events such as Retreats or Nights of Worship.

    Description: The Zera House Mom will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our residents as they go through their healing journey. In conjunction with the rest of the ZH staff, they will ensure each woman is supported and guided with biblically sound teaching and that our ladies feel safe, secure, and loved.

     Who We Are: Zera House is a Christ-centered, nonprofit organization that is dedicated to establishing safe homes throughout the U.S. for women who have been victims of sex trafficking and/or sexual exploitation. We are scheduled to open the doors of our first home in October 2018 in McDowell County, West Virginia. In this home, and all future homes, we will provide survivors with wrap around services (medical care, psychological care, biblical teaching, job training, continued education, etc.). Our home is a long-term treatment facility, designed on Biblical principles, with the desire to rebuild women’s lives to mental, physical, and spiritual wholeness, equipping them to re-enter society as productive citizens.

    House Mom Responsibilities:

    The House Mom is responsible for the following:

    • Observe each resident on a daily basis. Intervene for each woman through prayer and commit to advocate for her needs.
    • Ensure that residents follow all resident guidelines as outlined in the Resident Manual.
    • Work to build rapport and foster positive relationships with residents and staff.
    • Oversee and manage daily activities.
    • Provide transportation for residents when applicable.
    • Participate in, and delegate, responsibilities to maintain the cleanliness of the Zera House and the proper care of the Zera House gardens.
    • Speak the truth with love when Biblical correction is needed.
    • Maintain the safety and security of Zera House residents. Always stay up-to-date on safety procedures.
    • Attend all mandatory employee training and staff meetings.
    • Be discreet regarding the Zera House location and identity of all residents.
    • Maintain a strong, personal relationship with Christ. Be in the Word and in conversation with the Father regularly.
    • Will be required to be on shift for 5 days, then off shift for 5 days. This means you will be expected to work every other weekend.

     

    Qualities/Qualification:

    • A believer and follower of Jesus Christ. This position requires a woman with a strong faith, rooted deeply in scripture and consistent prayer.
    • Strong organizational skills and time management abilities.

    • Any experience with human trafficking, sexual exploitation, trauma, grief, PTSD is a plus
    • Background check required due to the nature of the job and the safety of our residents.

    Compensation/Salary: Currently, the House Mom is required to raise her own funds as a missionary with Zera House. The House Mom will be provided housing both on and off duty. During her 5 day shift, she will be provided a private room in the Zera House. Off duty, she will have a home provided at our staff house. During her shift, all food and household necessities will be provided. Off duty, the House Mom is responsible for purchasing her own food and personal items. The House Mom will also have transportation available as needed.

Our home is a long-term treatment facility, designed on Biblical principles, with the desire to rebuild women’s lives to mental, physical, and spiritual wholeness, equipping them to re-enter society as productive citizens.

     

    Resident Assistant Responsibilities:

    The Resident Assistant is responsible for the following:

    • RA functions under the direction of the House Mom and provides all needed assistance to her while on duty.
    • Observe each resident on a daily basis. Intervene for each woman through prayer and commit to advocate for her needs.
    • Ensure that residents follow all resident guidelines as outlined in the Resident Manual.
    • Work to build rapport and foster positive relationships with residents and staff.
    • Oversee and manage daily activities.
    • Provide transportation for residents when applicable.
    • Participate in, and delegate, responsibilities to maintain the cleanliness of the Zera House and the proper care of the Zera House gardens.
    • Speak the truth with love when Biblical correction is needed.
    • Maintain the safety and security of residents under the care of the House Mom and RA. Always stay up-to-date on safety procedures.
    • Attend all mandatory employee training and staff meetings.
    • Be discreet regarding the Zera House location and identity of all residents.
    • Maintain a strong, personal relationship with Christ. Be in the Word and in conversation with the Father regularly.
    • Will be required to be on shift for 5 days, then off shift for 5 days. This means you will be expected to work every other weekend.

    Qualities/Qualification:

    The ideal candidate:

    • A believer and follower of Jesus Christ. This position requires a woman with a strong faith, rooted deeply in scripture and consistent prayer.
    • Strong organizational skills and time management abilities.
    • Ability to lovingly and effectively interact with and love women who have been through extreme trauma.
    • Ability to create and maintain an environment conducive to healing and spiritual growth for our residents.
    • Passionate about developing relationships and helping women grow in their walk with Jesus.
    • Heart for missions.
    • Open minded and does not harbor judgments. Must be able to hate the sin, but love the sinner.
    • Able to follow orders under pressure.
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
    • Degree or applicable experience in psychology, counseling, social work, education, biblical studies or related field is a plus.
    • Any experience with human trafficking, sexual exploitation, trauma, grief, PTSD is a plus
    • Background check required due to the nature of the job and the safety of our residents.

     

    Compensation/Salary: Currently, the Resident Assistant is required to raise her own funds as a missionary with Zera House. The RA will be provided housing both on and off duty. During her 5 day shift, she will be provided a private room in the Zera House. Off duty, she will have a home provided at our staff house. During her shift, all food and household necessities will be provided. Off duty, the RA is responsible for purchasing her own food and personal items. The RA will also have transportation available as needed.

    Position Description

    Tuttle Christian Church (TCC) will hire a new Minister with primary responsibility for Youth (grades 6-12) Ministry but also able to aptly serve as pulpit minister when needed. This is a full-time position. TCC is located in Tuttle, Oklahoma, a bedroom community located just SW of OKC and it is one of the fastest growing communities in Oklahoma (2010 Census). We are an independent and instrumental restoration movement church of about 225 members. We have approximately 120 Youth on Wednesday evenings, the vast majority of whom are un-churched students, and another 20+ sponsors in-place to assist.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Teach Middle School and High School
    • Preach on Sunday mornings in absence of pulpit minister or to supplement pulpit ministry
    • Recruit, train, mentor and encourage youth sponsors and teachers
    • Plan and conduct youth trips, including CIY, summer camp and overseas missions
    • Attend and teach summer camps
    • Plan, create and implement purposeful youth curricula
    • Build, foster and maintain positive, informed relationships with students, parents, and sponsors
    • Develop a community outreach aimed at youth and participate in community events
    • Maintain and report to elders on budget, schedule and curriculum plans
    • Assist with pastoral duties for all ages of the congregation
    • Assist the Children’s Minister with VBS planning and execution

    Prefered: Bachelor’s Degree from a Christian College or University
