    Position Description

    Whom It May Concern:

I’m Phil Burris of Brandenburg KY, where I currently serve as the Senior Deacon of Grace Baptist Church in Ekron, KY. We have been without a pastor since last November and have the need for a Bi-vocational part-time Senior Pastor. The starting salary is commensurate with duties performed, not to exceed $33,800 per year. We are a KJV only church, meaning all preaching and teaching of scripture is from a KJV Bible, we don’t have an issue with the congregation using other versions, but for continuity sake we read from a KJV translation only. 2.) We are a fundamental Independent Baptist Church, believing in the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  And I also must state that we believe that scripture prohibits a divorced man to remarried and enter into the ministry as a Pastor or Deacon.

Please feel free to contact me if any additional information is needed.

    Have a Blessed Day!

    Position Description

YouthWorks is a multi-denominational, nonprofit organization that exists to connect teenagers to God, each other and communities through life-changing, Christ-centered mission trips. As 30,000 people take part in service this summer at over 70 communities, we need over 300 college and post-college-age staff to be on the front lines leading this ministry. In the midst of leading around 65 students and adult leaders on a mission trip each week, our staff teams cultivate relationships, develop their leadership skills and deepen their faith. And they get paid to do it! Do something different this summer. Do Youthworks.

YouthWorks offers several types of summer staff positions/internships. Although each team member shares many of the same job responsibilities, unique areas of leadership define each position. All summer staff receive their community information and are trained at the beginning of the summer. For example, YouthWorks does not expect all Work Projects Coordinators to know how to teach every aspect of home painting prior to being hired. The main thing we ask is that you would be willing to learn.

Staff work together to create a spiritually focused and servant-centered mission site. All staff participate in evening programming in a leadership capacity and interact with youth at every opportunity. Other responsibilities include building relationships with community members, coordinating one meal a day and having a weekly check-in time with your supervisor. Staff must be flexible, teachable and willing to grow in all areas.

Facilitate ministry experiences while you experience authentic leadership. Mentor and supervise 3-4 Site Coordinators. Assist with daily service and ministry projects. Manage finances with integrity and maintain the overall spiritual focus of the mission site. Provide leadership for adult leaders and help them process their mission week as they experience it alongside their youth. Develop lifelong friendships with community members and be changed by their love.

    • College graduate or of post-college age
    • Actively pursuing a relationship with Christ
    • Desire to serve the Church
    • Able to relate to youth
    • Model servant leadership
    • Have a teachable spirit
    • Previous leadership experience
    • Ability to lead a team
    • Management experience/ability
    • Previous YW summer staff experience is helpful but not required

    $4,250 + food/gas/housing

    Dates of Employment

The dates for full-summer employment are May 22-August 9, 2017. Site Directors also have a required weekend training in Minneapolis in late spring.

The Preacher’s position will become available on November 1st, 2016. We are looking for an open, energetic and evangelist minded Preacher that has a calling for local community evangelism. RCC meets each Sunday morning for worship at 9am (traditional service averaging 10-20 souls) and at 11am (contemporary service averaging 40-50 souls including some that worship both services). We also meet on Thursday evenings for what we call “Thursday Night Live”. This is a round table type of atmosphere where we have open discussion about diverse biblical topics and their relation to todays Christian lives. “Thursday Night Live” averages between 25 and 40 in attendance.

RCC has evolved into a very healthy, happy Church that has a better than average participation rate. Half or more of the congregation is actively involved in the affairs of the Church. RCC has been Elder lead since 2013. We have no Deacons at this time, however, Biblical Deacon Education Classes are set to begin on 9/21/2016. Twelve men have signed up to take the class.

An ideal Preacher candidate would work full-time for the Church, however, because of the Church’s budget constraints we are happy to welcome bi-vocational Preachers to interview for the position.

    Employment Package:

To help with the cost of relocation, the congregation is able to offer a $1,000.00 sign on bonus; $480.76 per week salary ($25,000/year) and a monthly incentive bonus that is based on the congregational offerings. The Preacher’s salary and duties will be negotiated and laid out in contract form, to be renegotiated on a yearly basis.
