Below is a list of the ministry openings that have been submitted to the Church Relations Office. The openings are provided by the church or organization seeking a candidate and are in no way affiliated with or endorsed by Kentucky Christian University.     Senior Minister Job Description

     

    The role of the Senior Minister of the First Christian Church of Olive Hill is to support and further the beliefs and ideology of a New Testament Church through biblical preaching and teaching.  To further the church and its membership in all aspects of Godly servanthood, passion for, and worship of Jesus Christ.

     

    Duties

    1. Overseeing and leadership of worship services.
    2. Shepherding of congregation spiritually through sermons, lessons, and interaction.
    3. Work alongside church Elders, Deacons, and Trustees to further the mission and vision of the church.
    4. Work in conjunction with choir and praise band leadership and members to schedule and carryout service planning and development.
    5. Actively communicate and interact with internal church groups (Youth and Ladies Circle)
    6. Provide a direct link for interaction with sister churches and the community.

    Ministerial Degree is preferred but not required.  Please provide educational background.

    Position Description

    Oblong Children’s Christian Home, Oblong, IL is seeking an Executive Director—Child Care who is a mature, Christian, servant leader with a heart for abused, at-risk, and troubled youth; their families; and those who serve them. Duties include leading a team of eight houseparents, counselor/caseworker, and school administrator/teacher as well as assisting in the promotion of the Home in churches in Illinois and Indiana.

    The Oblong Children’s Christian Home is a ministry of the Christian Church/Churches of Christ. The Home provides family-style group homes for youth who are between the ages of 5 and 17 at the time of placement.

    God has blessed the ministry with excellent facilities, including three group homes, a campus high school, and an indoor riding arena; all have been constructed since 1999. In 2017, construction will be completed on a new welcome center/office building. In addition, the campus includes a relief home and a residence for the Executive Director— Child Care. The ministry is debt free

    A Master’s degree in a social service field (social work, counseling, psychology, or ministry) and three to five years of administrative experience are required depending on the specific academic degree. Prior experience in a children’s home setting is preferred. The beginning salary range is $36,000 to $41,000. In addition, the Home contributes 16% of the employee’s salary to a retirement account. A large four-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath home is provided. Utilities are also included. Family health insurance is fully funded by the ministry.

    Construction will be starting this fall on BCC’s new Sports Outreach Center.  This 11,500 square foot space will provide a gym, weight room, fitness room, locker rooms, coffee area, gathering space, and study space.  This will offer something previously not available to our surrounding area—a community-welcoming place to work out, recreate, enjoy coffee, visit, or read.

    Tri-Village Christian Church, a congregation of approximately 600 attendees, located 20 miles east of downtown Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a full-time Children’s Minister for oversight of birth through 3rd grades.  This person would be joining a staff of four other full-time Ministers and additional support staff.  A part-time Preteen Director oversees 4th through 6th grades and a full-time Student Minister oversees Middle and High Schoolers.  Currently, the church has three morning worship services.

    Worship Minister

    Founded in 1963, Fairfield Church of Christ is located on the border of the Cincinnati suburbs of Hamilton and Fairfield. We are a non-denominational, Bible-believing church. Our congregation is led by a group of Shepherding Elders and a Lead Minister who oversees the operation of the administrative and ministry staff. We are a church of around 450 that ministers to adults, students and children with both traditional and contemporary style services. We are currently in the process of expanding our vision to reach additional segments of the community surrounding our church, including an increasingly diverse population of people from around the world and young adults. We are looking for a worship minister who will help us reach this goal.

    The Worship Minister at Fairfield Church of Christ will be a committed partner in planning, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive and vibrant worship ministry that brings glory to God and encouragement to the body of Christ. The Worship Minister serves as a member of a highly motivated and collaborative ministry staff that seeks to establish continuity in church ministries, bring genuine community to the congregation, and accomplish the overall mission of the church: to Reach our community while Teaching the Body of Christ to live and Serve wherever we find ourselves.

    The successful candidate will be able to work effectively as part of a team, display strong vocal skills and leadership ability, and also exhibit the character traits of a Biblical leader as found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. The leadership of Fairfield Church of Christ believes wholeheartedly that the successful candidate will be a leader whose calling and character will be one others seek to emulate. This position’s success is dependent on a commitment to teaching, reverence, and excellence in worship.

    The Worship Minister will work in collaboration with many volunteers at varying skill levels on a weekly basis to facilitate multiple worship services, creative arts, and media production. The Worship Minister will be part of recruiting and developing musicians through coaching and mentoring and will need to have solid experience working with staff and volunteers in the areas of production, technology, and media. The successful candidate will have a heart for people, pastoring, and the ability to use other ministerial skills and gifts to enhance and expand the mission and vision of Fairfield Church of Christ.

    While not a requirement, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated 3-4 years of professional development and oversight in full-time worship ministry. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited Christian college, seminary, or university is also preferred.

    The ideal candidate for this position will:

    • Have a deep and abiding walk with Christ, a vibrant prayer life, a passion for worship, a teachable spirit, and a team-player attitude.
    • Be able to relate to, and lead worship for, multi-generational audiences, incorporating music from different styles in worship
    • Be able to balance personal life and ministry life
    • Have experience with effective budget management and stewardship
    • Have aptitude, knowledge, and experience in how to utilize creative technology and arts in ministry.
    • Have the ability to communicate effectively.

    Seaford Christian Church located in York County, Virginia is seeking a full-time senior minister. We are an independent Christian Church established in 1974 on the foundational principles of the Restoration Movement (preaching God’s Word, corporate prayer, partaking of the Lord’s Supper and fellowship).
