The openings are provided by the church or organization seeking a candidate and are in no way affiliated with or endorsed by Kentucky Christian University.     Southpoint Church is looking for the right person to lead our Student Ministry into the next season of growth through a team of committed volunteers and staff. Our mission is to Win Downriver (the region south of Detroit with 350,000 people) to Christ by creating committed, connected, and contributing Christians. Southpoint is a non-denominational (Christian Churches) multi-site church with 2 campuses and a 3rd launching in November, 2015.

    Position Description

    Frankton Christian Church is seeking a full-time Senior Minister with a Restoration Movement background.  The candidate should possess a degree that is affirming a doctrine, belief and lifestyle consistent with the movement.  We are looking for a man who relates well to people of all ages and will be able to work with the Elders, church staff and church leadership.  The ideal candidate should be gifted at preaching, teaching and growing in his personal walk as well as growing the church.  He should desire to become a part of the community, building relationships and offering leadership.

    Frankton, Indiana is a small town of about 1800 people located about 40 miles north of Indianapolis.  The Frankton Christian Church is a congregation of about 120 that was established in 1839.  Along with the church, there is a separate debt-free building, the Family Life Center, that consists of a full size gym, fellowship room and an extra-large kitchen.  The building is used to extend our ministry to the community and houses the community food pantry.  On the adjacent property is a shelter house which is used for outdoor fellowship.

    Position Description

    Responsible for teaching, disciplining, and mentoring the church’s Middle and High Schoolers and overseeing the overall youth program K-12.

    The Algonac Church of Christ in Algonac, Michigan, is seeking to hire a full-time youth minister as soon as possible. We are an independent, instrumental Church of Christ, led locally by a board of elders and loosely affiliated with other churches of Christ and Christian Churches.
    The ideal candidate will have or be in the process of pursuing an undergraduate and/or graduate degree in biblical studies from a Church of Christ or Christian Church affiliated institution. He must believe that the entire Bible is God-inspired and the authoritative standard by which we are to live our lives and teach. He must also subscribe to doctrinal beliefs consistent with Restoration Movement theology regarding such matters as baptism, salvation, etc.
    Most importantly, the candidate must be a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ who walks closely with God and lives a life we would want our young people to imitate. This walk should be evidenced by a strong daily prayer life, daily Bible study, consistent evangelism, and living a life above reproach. The youth minister candidate must have a biblical understanding of authority and welcome being mentored by, answering to, and obeying and following the direction of the senior pastor and elders of the church.
    The interested candidate must pass a standard background check and have a valid drivers license and automobile. He must also be excellent at building and fostering relationships both with and among young people. Athletic ability and/or musical abilities are a huge plus.     Position Description

    The Christian Student Fellowship at Lock Haven University, Lock Haven, PA (a collegiate ministry of the Christian Student Foundation of Pennsylvania) is seeking a qualified individual who will work closely with the student leadership team in developing a vision for teaching biblical principles and outreach on campus.

     

    The applicant must have a calling and a heart for collegiate ministry with a strong vision and demonstrate a desire to see the advancement of God’s Kingdom through teaching biblical stewardship principles.

     

    In addition, the applicant must demonstrate experience contributing effectively to ministry excellence and skills which include, but are not limited to, planning, organizational, and management skills, excellent public speaking and communication abilities, great energy and creativity, capacity to work with others, ability to resolve problems, and sound judgment.

     

    As is typical in many faith-base ministry organizations, CSF at Lock Haven relies on faithful contributions of individuals and congregations. Therefore, the candidate is expected to be a primary support raiser for this position.  The ideal start date would be August 2015.     Children’s Minister

    The Clovernook Children’s Minister will cast the vision for and communicate the LCC Family Ministry philosophy of ministry at the Clovernook campus and implement the structure and strategy in support of the vision and philosophy. This position is requires being a leader of leaders; one who coordinates a team of volunteers who deliver engaging ministry from infant to 6th grade. Candidate will be committed to and support the philosophy and mission of LifeSpring Christian Church and its leadership team; to reach this broken world, but being a church of disciples who make disciples.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    •   Lead, oversee, and communicate vision for Family Ministry leaders and volunteers, moving toward LifeSpring Christian Church Family Ministry/Orange Team model.
    •   Oversee the recruitment, training, scheduling, and development of all volunteers in the Family Ministry programs.
    • Maintain contact with parents, keeping them informed of topics/themes being studied, special events, etc. through printed notices, email, internet, Facebook, text messages, phone calls, blog, etc.
    •   Provide tools for parents to equip them in their role as primary spiritual caregivers of their children.
    •   Cultivate healthy parent and child relationships.
    • Foster strong working relationship with Family Ministry campus staff and coordinate with them on systems, use of curriculum, and leading volunteer teams.
    •  Administer curriculum, policies, procedures, and vision for the pre-school and LifeSpring Kidz ministries.
    •  Create and oversee organizational systems to ensure the Family Ministry areas remain clean, organized, and safe.
    •   Responsible for set-up, check-in and registration materials for weekend services in all areas other than Worship Center.
    •   Lead special events in Children’s Ministry such as Child Dedication, etc.  (Including WhizKids, MOPS)

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This position supervises volunteers involved in the Children’s Ministry at the Clovernook campus and oversees the Pre-School Director.

    As a full-time head of a ministry, CM will have cross-campus responsibilities for events, cross campus initiatives, and training when asked.
    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

     
    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    •  Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred, but experience or mix of college education and experience will be evaluated.
    • Ideally the candidate will have at minimum 5 years experience in ministry.
    •  Experience coordinating and recruiting volunteers desirable.

    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    •  The successful candidate must be a Christian and fully support the philosophy of LifeSpring Christian Church and its leadership team. This individual’s commitment to Christ will be evidenced in his/her personal life, family relationships, and ministry.     •  The ideal candidate should be creative, have a passion and heartfelt concern for children and teens, be high-energy, hard-working, and possess the ability to motivate others.  Understanding spiritual development stages is critical to a unified approach.

    •  Understand the maturity levels and characteristics of children and the challenges they face today.
    •  The ability to work efficiently and effectively in team situations is critical, as well as the ability to work independently.

    STUDENT PASTOR
    POSITION DESCRIPTION: Coordinate and lead the student ministries with all intentions to assist teenagers in owning their faith. This would include grades 6th -12th grade. Develop and grow the overall youth ministry both spiritually and numerically.

    STATUS: Full-time

    HOURS: 40+ Hours per week

    Salary range and possible benefits: salary range based on education and experience; cell phone, partial medical reimbursements up $300 per quarter, reimbursements of professional expenses in guidelines with current budget including mileage.

    General Purpose of Position:
    To build passionate disciples for Christ by developing and implementing a comprehensive approach to youth ministry (in the areas of relationships, worship, discipleship, mission, and outreach) while serving as a spiritual leader and role model.

    Organizational Relationship and Supervision:
    This position is accountable to the Lead Pastor.

    The Primary Task:
    There shall be a comprehensive approach to the development and implementation of the youth ministry. This comprehensive approach is based on the understanding of the primary task of youth ministry to:
    1) Love youth where they are
    2) Encourage youth in developing their personal relationship with Jesus Christ
    3) Provide them with venues and opportunities for nurture and growth
    4) Challenge them to respond to God’s call on their lives in the church, in their communities and around the world.
    Responsibilities:
    Be an advocate for youth and educate the congregation about the hopes, concerns and needs of youth in the local church and community.
    Help plan, develop, and implement all aspects of a balanced youth ministry in the areas of relationships (family, friends, and foe), worship, discipleship, mission, and outreach.
    Establish and lead a youth leadership team comprised of teens and approved counselors that serve as a sounding board, idea think tank while assisting youth pastor in carrying out projects, and various aspects of ministry. This team will meet monthly to discuss up and coming events.
    Mentor youth in developing their leadership skills.
    Be aware of resources for developing the youth ministry programming and participate in continuing education events and training opportunities.
    Recruit and train volunteers who work with youth in all aspects of youth ministry and ensure adequate volunteer support and adult to youth ratios.
    Be a liaison between the church and other community organizations, people, and resources that relate to youth and youth ministries.
    Coordinate and/or lead youth Life Groups and Mid-Week Boost for students each week.
    Work in partnership with the other church ministries to effectively reach youth in the community and develop a strategic youth ministry outreach plan.
    Keep records of youth participation and manage the youth ministry budget.
    Communicate in a timely manner and as effectively as possible using all available resources (email, website (other technology opportunities), bulletin, bulletin boards, etc.). Ensure communication with church staff and leadership, parents, and the congregation as a whole.
    Make yourself available to youth in a variety of ways (i.e. lunch at school, attendance at extracurricular activities, visitation, times of crisis, etc.)
    Work in concert with the gifts and talents of other staff members and maintain a teamwork mentality.

    Our church needs a loving pastor who meets all the credentials to perform all pastoral duties as well as a person who is kind, outgoing, and knowledgeable of the Word of God.  We are interested in a leader (a shepherd) to herd in the flock from our area which is lost and in need.  The person needs to be one who is interested in establishing a youth program for the children of our community and would be willing to devote time and energy into reaching new families to establish growth and new life into an older congregation.  In addition, the person needs to deliver practical biblical lessons which inspires our Christian faith and walk as well as promotes our desire to serve God more.  We offer a Sunday School hour prior to church which focuses on biblical lessons and offers classes for a variety of ages but needs to be rejuvenated.   Our average attendance ranges 50 to 70 but has a current membership of 100+.
