The congregation has been in existence since 1961 (formerly known as Brooklyn Center Church of Christ) and currently has a membership of approximately 100. Our congregation is led by an eldership in place since 2011 and we also have several deacons and ministry team leaders. We are a very diverse congregation and have been blessed with a new building completed in 2007. We also house a K-2 charter school in our building. We desire to provide an open environment that encourages each person to use their individual talents and abilities to build up the body and glorify God.  It is important that we provide encouragement, support, and involve every member in the life and growth of the congregation. Our goal is to seek and save the lost and help the Lord’s congregation grow by fostering relationships with God through His Son and our Savior Jesus Christ. Our mission statement is: “Love as Family; Grow in Christ; Bless All People”.

Our previous minister served us for three years. We are looking for a male candidate that is married and has practical experience in ministry and outreach. Both husband and wife must be faithful Christians and of high moral character. The minister must be a spiritually-minded and prayerful individual. He must also possess significant Bible knowledge and the ability to teach and apply that knowledge appropriately. The congregation desires lessons with practical application to daily Christian living. We are especially interested in someone with successful outreach experience, meeting and studying with those outside the church. He needs to be able to meet and cultivate relationships with a wide range of people including un-churched, seekers, etc., and help motivate the congregation to greater works and fruits of the Spirit.

In summary we wish to provide worship and spiritual development that:

    • Nurtures, uplifts and strengthens individuals to carry on their daily lives.
    • Challenges members to relate the Gospel to the issues and situations that confront them in the world.
    • Affirms God’s, Christ’s Love for Unity.

    Position Description

We believe that one of the most magnificent pictures of what the church is supposed to be is embodied in the original Twelve disciples of Jesus.

They lived together for an intentional and intensive period of Kingdom lifestyle training. They grew together, were discipled together, were on mission together, sought the poor and needy together, challenged one another, shared meals with one another, and were ultimately sent by Jesus as a team to make more teams and communities of disciples…together. How beautiful is that?!

We are Adullam Church, and we are seeking disciples who desire to join a team that is committed to and passionate about knowing Jesus together, growing together, and going to plant churches and make disciples together all over Greater Seattle. You are someone who is hungry to live the mission and the lifestyle of Jesus and to do it with others who are in the trenches with you. You are excited at the thought of getting to be part of the beginnings of a church. You’re not the only insane one!

Adullam Church is a church plant in the Bothell/Mill Creek area.

We are seeking a discipleship extern who is passionate about growing as a disciple and learning the art of disciple-making. You will join a team of disciple-makers who are being trained to lead others into spiritual maturity, build community, and plant churches from the ground up.

WHO: Collegiate/Post-Grad Students who love Jesus and are highly coachable

You are a teachable disciple. We are not as much interested in your skills or expertise that would normally be more useful to a Sunday service-oriented church. We are far more interested in your character than your competencies; more excited about your humility than your knowledge; more impressed with your followship capacity than your leadership capabilities.

WHAT: Learn the Art & Science of Discipleship

    WHERE: Seattle, WA

    COMMITMENT: 3 months/TBD

HOW: As with anything, true mastery comes not only through study, but a lot of hands-on practice. (Be prepared to make a lot of mistakes and to learn from them!) Between your coach (Pastor Bryan Staab), your team of peer disciples, and the people you will begin to disciple, you will enter into the joys and the struggles of what Jesus meant by making disciples!

Prepared for the World

“Whether I continue working in Learning and Development, Organizational Effectiveness or choose another route altogether, my Humanities degree prepared me for the world, because it prepared me for deeply engaging with people, meeting them where they are and understanding their needs across all levels.”

– Lindsey (Leach) Simpkins, Class of ’05
