The baccalaureate and master’s degree programs at Kentucky Christian University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street, NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887- 6791 (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org). Both degree programs are approved by the Kentucky Board of Nursing (https://kbn.ky.gov/education/Pages/approval.aspx).

Kentucky Christian University’s Family Nurse Practitioner Program meets the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) certification eligibility educational requirements. Students who complete this program have the educational preparation to sit for the ANCC certification examination in this role and population. Applicants must also meet any additional eligibility criteria in effect when they apply for certification.

The Kentucky Christian University (KCU) Yancey School of Nursing was named the #1 Best Online RN to BSN program in the state of Kentucky for 2021 by registerednursing.org.  The Online MSN program was ranked one of the top 10 programs in the nation for 2021 by NursePractitionerOnline.com.

Kentucky Christian University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Students are eligible to transfer academic credits to another institution at the discretion of the receiving institution.

Kentucky Christian University Yancey School of Nursing is hosting an accreditation reaffirmation site visit for the MSN Family Nurse Practitioner Program by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) March 2-4, 2022. Written third-party comments must be received by CCNE by no later than February 9, 2022. CCNE shares third-party comments with members of the evaluation team prior to visits, but at no time during the review process are these comments shared with the program. During its review of the program, the evaluation team considers the third-party comments that relate to the accreditation standards. All third-party comments submitted to CCNE must be written in English, consistent with CCNE’s policy on Conduct of Business in English. Only signed comments are accepted by CCNE.
