School of Arts & Sciences

arts & sciences header barThe KCU School of Arts and Sciences is at the heart of a Christian liberal arts education. We strive to equip students for successful Christian leadership by developing skills which are fundamental to all areas of ministry and to all majors. Therefore, we are a cross-disciplinary School with faculty from several academic areas. We offer a core curriculum for KCU students to help them gain essential skills in critical thinking, writing, mathematics, and oral communication. The Arts and Sciences core provides a foundation of knowledge considered essential for any educated person.

The KCU School of Arts and Sciences also offers degrees in History/PreLaw and in Humanities. Minors are also available in a number of fields, including Archaeology, Humanities, History, Mathematics, Near Eastern Studies, English, and Science.

Our Mission Statement

“The mission of the School of Arts and Sciences is to develop articulate and well-informed disciples of Jesus Christ who can effectively apply concepts, principles, and skills from the arts and sciences to their personal and professional witness for Christ.”

Prepared for the World

“Whether I continue working in Learning and Development, Organizational Effectiveness or choose another route altogether, my Humanities degree prepared me for the world, because it prepared me for deeply engaging with people, meeting them where they are and understanding their needs across all levels.”

– Lindsey (Leach) Simpkins, Class of ’05
