Position Summary
The Worship Pastor at Central Christian Church will serve as a key leader in cultivating dynamic, Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered worship environments that reflect the diversity and outreach mission of our church. This position oversees the direction, development, and execution of worship experiences that are biblically grounded, culturally engaging, and missionally driven, inviting both believers and seekers into a life-changing encounter with God.

Key Areas of Responsibility
- Worship Experience Leadership
- Lead and shepherd high-impact, multiethnic worship services that inspire participation and glorify God.
- Plan services in collaboration with the teaching team and creative staff to align with sermon themes, seasonal outreach efforts, and community rhythms.
- Lead from the platform vocally and instrumentally; empower and rotate other worship leaders.
- Prioritize a worship culture that is biblically rooted, musically excellent, culturally relevant, and evangelistically welcoming.
2. Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, develop, and disciple a large and growing team of diverse musicians, vocalists, and creative artists.
- Foster personal relationships within teams, while supporting other ministries in the development of future Worship Leaders.
- Champion diversity on the platform, fostering an environment where all ethnic backgrounds and generations feel represented and engaged.
- Provide regular rehearsals, training workshops, and spiritual formation for team members.
3. Creative & Technical Collaboration
- Collaborate with Creative Arts, Tech, and Communications teams to develop cohesive services that use media, lighting, visuals, and storytelling to support the message.
- Help shape original content, arrangements, and worship expressions that resonate with our local community and mission field.
- Support Online Services as needed to maintain consistency and unity in worship culture.

4. Outreach Engagement and Integration
- Partner with outreach teams to lead worship at evangelistic events, baptisms, and city-wide gatherings.
- Engage in worship expressions that cross cultural and stylistic boundaries to better reach and reflect the broader community.
- Mentor and mobilize emerging leaders and worshippers from underserved or underrepresented communities and investing in the development of leaders in other church ministry groups (Young Adults, Students, Kids, etc).
5. Organizational Leadership
- Manage worship ministry budget, gear and technology upgrades, and licensing needs (CCLI, MultiTracks, etc.).
- Utilize Planning Center and other systems for scheduling, communication, and planning excellence.
- Serve as a collaborative member of the Pastoral Leadership Team, contributing to church-wide planning, leadership development, and spiritual direction.
Qualifications:
- A spiritually mature, committed follower of Jesus Christ with a lifestyle that reflects strong character, humility, and leadership.
- 5+ years of worship leadership experience in a large, diverse, contemporary church setting.
- Strong musical proficiency (vocally and instrumentally) with the ability to arrange, coach, and lead a wide range of musical styles.
- Demonstrated passion and gifting for cross-cultural worship leadership and team-building.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with contemporary worship tools such as Planning Center, MultiTracks, ProPresenter, and modern audio/video production systems.
