Nash Chapel Fund
Located in the heart of the KCU campus is her life blood of activity, Nash Chapel, named in honor of Dr. Donald A. Nash, former professor and scholar for the University. Here KCU's twice weekly chapel service takes place. This is where faculty and students come together as a community of believers. They praise God for His goodness and honor the Savior through whom salvation has come into the world. Here hearts are rededicated, there is laughter, tears are shed and people grow in faith. Here future leaders will be inspired for their life's mission.
For more than forty years Dr. Nash engaged students in a study of God's word and shined a light for the cause of Christ. His work of faith and labor of love has left a legacy in the hearts of thousands of preachers, missionaries and church leaders. On our campus, Dr. Nash poured out his life "like a drink offering" that will touch eternity.
Need
Surveys of KCU alumni consistently show that chapel worship services are by far their most memorable experience and the one they miss most after graduation. Nash Chapel has been the scene for hundreds of weddings, scores of funerals and countless prayer vigils. Of all the buildings on campus, the chapel building is the most heavily used throughout the year. Nash Chapel is also home of KCU's internationally acclaimed School of Music. Arguably, Nash Chapel could be considered the most important building on campus. But she is badly worn from years of use and in desperate need of repair.

Amazingly the Nash Chapel auditorium, built in 1978, has all of its original carpet and furnishings. The carpet is 30 years old and in many places duct tape now serves as seams. Nearly three decades of constant daily use by hundreds of people has left this worship center spent. The seat coverings are nearly threadbare, the roof leaks and much of the building is in need of serious repair.
Project and Cost
We estimate that the total cost for necessary repairs and updates to Nash Chapel will be $1.5M. Depending on funding, construction can commence as early as the summer of 2008.
Funding
Kentucky Christian University receives no direct financial assistance from state or federal governments for construction, operations or research. We rely on the faithful financial support of our foundation partners, many friends and alumni and others across the nation and throughout the world.
The goal of KCU's Nash Chapel fundraising campaign is to completely pay for the chapel renovation. The university is hopeful that full funding for this project will be achieved.
Contributions to the Nash Chapel may be made on-line or by check. Please indicate "Nash Chapel" in the "Special Project Name" area of the On-line Contribution Form or in the memo section of your check.
