Proclaim

Are you in high school and feeling a call to ministry?

Do you enjoy talking to your friends about the Bible and your faith in God?

Then Summer in the Son (SITS) 2020 has a special program for you!

KCU is proud to announce a SITS workshop for students who are interested in pursuing a call to ministry. This immersive “preaching lab” experience will provide students with practical instruction in Biblical study and sermon development from KCU faculty. Students will attend one daily class that focuses on Biblical study and one daily class on sermon development. On the fourth day of the week, the students will present a 5-10-minute sermon for evaluation from a professional panel. Students will be able to participate in large-group exercises with their respective youth groups, including worship time and evening meals, as well as being housed with their youth group. And if you attend SITS on your own, there will be a special PROCLAIM group for you.

Sermon Material
The evaluated sermon will be from the Gospel of Mark, so students are encouraged to read the Gospel of Mark in advance and are welcome to bring resources with them. Students will also have access to the Young Library during their time at SITS.

WELL PREPARED

“Thank you so much, Dr. Brickey! I was well prepared, both educationally and most importantly, spiritually. I will forever remember this experience. I pray I can continue to make Yancey School of Nursing proud as I practice my career.”
