Keeran School of Education Teacher Candidates for Fall 2013
September 18th, 2013
Dr. Karen Ford, Dean of the Keeran School of Education at Kentucky Christian University, reports that two students are completing teaching requirements in local and regional school systems. The teacher candidates will gradually assume full instructional responsibilities in assigned classrooms over the course of fourteen weeks (70 days) to receive credit for this phase of their preparation program. Teacher candidates this spring are divided among middle and high school grade levels with one focused in middle grades and one in high school.
West Carter Middle School is hosting Brandon Edison. Mr. Edison is assigned to 6th grade science with Mr. Kris Becker and then with Mr. Charles Clark in 8th grade social studies.
Jessica Marshall, a secondary English student, is beginning her experience at West Carter High School. Her supervising teacher is Ms. Kristen Evans.
The teacher candidates are excited about their field placements. They are just beginning the opportunity to work with their new colleagues in the educational community and are looking forward to the beginning of their new professions.
KCU’s Keeran School of Education would like to thank principals Mr. Ryan Tomolonis (West Carter Middle School) and Mr. John Baumgardner (West Carter High School) for their continued support and assistance in the placement and training of our teacher candidates.
