KCU Graduate receives National Board Certification
March 26th, 2012
Carla Myers, Seventh grade science teacher at East Carter Middle School, has been granted National Board Certification by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Mrs. Myers is a 1986 graduate of the Keeran School of Education of Kentucky Christian University. She received her graduate degree from Morehead State University in August 1990, A Gifted Endorsement from Western Kentucky University in 2009, and National Board Certification in spring of 2012.
In addition to her teaching duties, Mrs. Myers coaches the Academic Team, the 6th grade girls' basketball team, and the East Carter High School girls track team. She has served the Carter County district for twenty-six years. The Keeran school of Education of Kentucky Christian University wishes to acknowledge Mrs. Myers' academic excellence and service to the community.
