Music Business, Audio Technology Emphasis

The Bachelor of Science in Music Business, Audio Technology Emphasis, is offered by Kentucky Christian University in order to prepare students to work:

1. As audio and multi-media operators in churches, schools, convention centers, and other places where these skills are needed.
2. As professional performers, technicians, and managers in the music business industry.
3. As entrepreneurs in their own business enterprises.

Students enrolled in this program take 32 hours of music specialization classes, 21 hours of business specialization classes, 16 hours of music business emphasis classes, and 49 hours according to the combined Arts and Sciences and Bible core.

Total credit hours: 121

All students seeking a degree in music business must audition and be accepted to begin his/her study in the School of Music.

This degree is recommended for students wishing to pursue careers in audio technology or in music business.

Music Business, General Music Business Emphasis

The Bachelor of Science in Music Business, General Emphasis, is offered by Kentucky Christian University in order to prepare students to work:

1. As professional performers, technicians, and managers in the music business industry.
2. As entrepreneurs in their own business enterprises.

Students enrolled in this program take 32 hours of music specialization classes, 21 hours of business specialization classes, 16 hours of classes at the Contemporary Music Center in Nashville, and 49 hours according to the combined Arts and Sciences and Bible core.

Music Performance

The Bachelor of Science in Music Performance (emphasis in voice or piano) is offered by Kentucky Christian University to develop the highest musical potential in the student and to equip him/her for study at the graduate level. Students enrolled in this program take 40 hours in music specialization classes, 27 hours in music core classes, and 58 hours according to the combined Arts and Sciences and Bible core.

Total credit hours: 125

All students seeking a degree in music performance must audition and be accepted to begin his/her study in the School of Music.

This degree is recommended for students wishing to pursue graduate studies in music performance.

Worship

The Bachelor of Arts in Worship prepares students for ministry in music, both contemporary and traditional. Students are exposed to music ministry issues, equipped to work with praise bands, praise teams, and contemporary worship choirs, and gain experience in songwriting/arranging, audio technology, and multi-media. Attention is given to contemporary and traditional worship design through classes in 25 hours in music major core, 49 hours in worship specialization, and 52 hours according to the combined Arts and Sciences and Bible core. Included in the worship specialization is a 9-month internship.

Total credit hours: 126

Graduates will have the skills necessary for relevant ministry in an ever-shifting contemporary culture.
