Position Overview: This position serves two primary functions:

Provide administrative support and “anticipatory thinking” for the Director of Children’s Ministries through mediums including, but not limited to: database management, scheduling, event planning, communications via email and social media, assisting and tracking of team members, children and families, general office duties, as well as, leadership and participation in the execution of ministry on Sunday mornings, during midweek and at special events.
This position includes weekday, weeknight and weekend responsibilities. Applicants must be able to maintain routine office hours Monday-Thursday as well as be able to work on Sundays and on weeknights or weekends in the event of special children’s ministry events.
The ideal candidate will:
•Have at least 3-5 years proven experience and success in the fields of children’s ministry, family ministry or early childhood education OR a degree or certificate of study in Biblical studies, ministry or education
•Possess an authentic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
•Have a genuine love for people, especially children and families

Goals of Internship
Nurture Personal Spirituality: The inner life of the intern must be developing during the internship experience. Spiritual formation is foundational for ministry

Take on further responsibilities as required and/or as skills and talents necessitate.
Research—learn to use the tools of the websites used to enhance Worship ministry.
Assist Office personnel with mailings & communication & organization of Worship department.
Attend bi-monthly calendar meetings.
Attend bi-monthly creative planning brainstorming meetings.

Job or Internship Description
Our goal is to encourage and equip the next generation of children’s ministry leaders to handle every aspect of running a children’s ministry at a mega church with confidence, purpose and excellence. Interns will assist and observe in planning, executing, and evaluating weekend children’s ministry programming and special events. This will include developing calendars, curriculum, and events throughout the year with an veteran team of children's ministry leaders. Interns will also enjoy quarterly leadership training for children’s ministry volunteers and leaders. Other specific duties occasionally to be performed by interns are leading a weekend children’s small group and/or large group, attend camps, VBS, special events, and other fun and interactive children’s ministry outings. Interns will receive one full day off each week plus part of Saturday. The weekly office expectation is a minimum of 30 hours as scheduled in conjunction with the mentoring pastor. 45 hours is a standard work week. Additional days off will be granted, especially after a busy season of ministry.
This individual needs to be a devoted follower of Jesus with an ever-deepening relationship with Him and has a passion for leading a children's ministry program at a local church. As a leader in Christ’s church, this individual is expected to be of the highest moral and ethical character according to the Biblical standard as well as the CCC staff guidelines. This person must be able to complete tasks on time, attend scheduled meetings on time, and inform mentor of any concerns or conflicts.
