TITLE: Adult Discipleship Pastor
REPORTS TO: Senior Director
SALARY RANGE: $50,000 - $55,000 annually (DOE), with Benefits
For more information: TWilson@yes2God.org
The Adult Discipleship Pastor will be responsible for building a ministry that effectively disciples adults by engaging them in biblical community and serving teams. He will do this by creating a network of groups (incorporating Bible Studies, Life Groups, Adult Bible Fellowships, Mentoring Groups, etc.) so that every attender has the opportunity to grow deeper in their relationship with Christ in community with others.*
He must have a heart for lost people and a love for the local church and must have a clear understanding of small groups ministry. He must have at least three years of experience in a small group, at least two years of recruiting and training small group leaders, and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies or Pastoral ministry. He must be able to cast vision, inspire people to action, identify and raise up leaders who can carry ministry and work well with other top-level leaders and engage in open, vigorous discussion for the sake of the church’s mission.
*It is our belief that discipleship occurs best in the context of relationships where people meet regularly to learn and live out the Scriptures. Small groups will be a core part of any sub-ministry. We believe married couples grow best when participating in a group together; therefore, groups that enable couples to attend together will be priority. We believe that small group studies should accentuate church priorities.
