Facility was constructed in 2004 and has a 450 seat auditorium, a full size gym/fellowship hall, and various classrooms.

Job Description at Fort Caroline Christian Church
Section 1: Purpose of FCCC Lead Minister.
(2 Timothy 4:1-2, 1 Timothy 1:3-5, Titus 1:5)
A. To serve as the primary preacher for the congregation.
B. To promote and develop Bible knowledge and obedience among individuals and the congregation.
C. To assist the elders by advising, teaching and working with them in leading the congregation to be a church after the New Testament order, and to help the elders maintain a broad view of the biblical mission of the church.
D. To help the congregation in fulfilling the Great Commission of our Lord through local evangelistic efforts and world evangelism/missions support.
Section 2: Philosophy of this Ministry
(Ephesians 4:11-12, 2 Timothy 4:5, 1 Timothy 4:14, 2 Timothy 1:6, Titus 2:14)
A. The Lead Minister will perform the same functions as the New Testament evangelist, with primary functions in the areas of Bible proclamation and equipping the church to perform ministry.
B. The Lead Minister is to challenge commitment and to encourage excitement for Jesus Christ among those who are members and those who are unsaved in our community.
C. The Lead Minister will help the other staff and Elders develop goals and plans by which the church will be effective in ministering to our area with the truths of New Testament Christianity.
D. There will be times when this minister will represent this congregation in broader meetings and functions.
E. The Lead Minister will combine strong study, consistent Biblical teaching and preaching, and personal contact to fulfill the overall scope of the ministry.
Section 3: Relationship with FCCC Leadership
A. The Lead Minister will be under the oversight of and answerable directly to the Eldership in all functions of the position as it relates to the overall church program.
B. The Lead Minister will serve as the overseeing coordinator of the ministers and staff to insure that all responsibilities are being met with quality and excellence and to insure that there will be minimal duplication and conflicts in schedules.
Section 4: Responsibilities of the FCCC Lead Minister
(1) Along with the Elders, he will plan a balanced approach to Bible preaching.
(2) He will be the primary preacher for the congregation and will work with the other staff members in planning the preaching schedule that will include them.
(3) He will lead the congregation in understanding the New Testament doctrine and Christian living.
(4) He will preach with the intention of persuading all to a complete commitment to Christ.
(5) To accomplish the vital task of Christian ministry, he will give quality effort and time in the study of God=s Word, preaching methods, and sermon planning.
(1) He will help plan worship services with the staff and worship leader to bring the worshipers to a spiritual communion with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(2) Be aware of and promote the use of multi-media and other technology in worship/outreach and appeal to all generations.
(1) He will be one of the teachers of adults in the overall Christian Education program of the church.
(2) Being an equipper of the saints, he will help assist in developing other teaching programs as he, the Elders, Deacons, and other staff sees the need.
(3) He will help teach the truths and benefits of Biblical stewardship, which will also be done from the pulpit.
(4) He will consistently lead the congregation into understanding the responsibility of local and world evangelism.
D. Evangelism and Shepherding.
(1) Along with the Elders, Deacons, and staff, he will oversee the effective follow-up of all visitors to all functions of the church and will review the Prospect List so that each person in the category can be contacted concerning their relationship with Christ.
(2) He will assist the elders, deacons, and staff in making sure that the congregation is being shepherded, visited, encouraged, etc.
(3) He will oversee staff follow-up with those who have been absent from services and assist the Elders with shepherding the flock.
(4) Manage Conflict.
a. The Lead Minister shall work to facilitate peace among members, the staff and the congregation, when necessary.
b. He, along with the Elders, shall review any problems or concerns and work with them in determining solutions.
c. He will provide his vision to the Elders
E. Other Ministerial Functions.
(1) If asked, at his discretion, he may participate in weddings and funerals.
(2) As various needs arise and schedules permit, he along with the elders and other staff will determine other ministerial involvements.
(3) A minister shall not be required to perform such multiplicity of tasks that his time shall be taken from study, prayer, teaching, calling and such ministries as come naturally to his attention for the spiritual development of the Church.
(4) A minister shall have the same voting rights as any other member in the congregational meetings

We know that we absolutely surrender to the will of God and fully rely on God to deliver the man he has prepared for us and prepared us for! Although we may not find a man who would completely fulfill all of the qualifications and qualities that we would compile in our profile of our next Pastor; we all affirm that we would seek to hire the man that fulfills Christ=s desire for the church. Minister’s Professional Responsibilities:
• Recommended Hours Per Week: ~20 hours
• Preaching and Teaching
Preach sermons at Sunday morning and Revolution evening services. Provide support for teachers and/or teach weekly Sunday School Classes and Bible Studies in order to provide continuing education of God’s Word. Provide support for additional functions of the church as requested by the Elders.
• Pastoral Care
Visit people monthly (suggested) who are homebound and cannot attend weekly services. Provide support by visiting or calling people in the hospital. Coordinate monthly (suggested) visitations with the people of the church as possible. Comfort mourning families of lost loved ones. Provide additional pastoral care as requested by the Elders.
Provide support for Vacation Bible School. Attend extra-curricular church and community events as much as possible. Attend the Hillsdale CARES meetings as possible. Provide support for additional community efforts as requested by the Elders.
Provide weekly media releases for Sunday morning and evening services. Attend weekly Elder meetings and Church Board meetings as possible. Attend annual Church meeting and present Minister’s report. Perform additional administrative duties as requested by the Elders.
It is expected that the minister will exemplify Christian values and principles and refrain from any conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit on or cause scandal to the church or be in contradiction to the Bible or Christian ethics and morals in both his personal life (i.e. social media/communication) and his professional life.
Minister’s Compensation Package:
• Salary: Negotiable based on experience, education and longevity.
• Travel: Travel will be reimbursed at the Federal Rate per mile following the IRS guidelines up to $1,000 per year for hospitalization and $2,000 per year for visitation. For emergency situations the travel mileage begins from the current location whereas all other travel mileage begins from the minister’s home in accordance with the IRS guidelines. A monthly mileage report will be turned in to the elders the last Sunday of each month for their review. A mileage check will be given the first Sunday of the following month.
• Cell Phone: A cell-phone to be available for emergencies and day-to-day minister duties. Approximately $750 per year.
• Paid Time Off: Paid time off must be used in a calendar year and there is no cash value for unused paid time off. There is no paid time off carry-over to the next year.
