Professional Experience

Dr. Ford began her teaching experience in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. She taught first and second grade in the West Clermont School District. She taught third, fifth, and sixth grades in the New Richmond Exempted Village School District. She also has extensive substitute teaching in kindergarten, Middle school, and special education. While teaching, she was assigned to help develop the district curriculum which was approved by the Ohio State Education Department. She also completed training for intervention of substance abuse and collaborated with school counselors in the area of chemical abuse.

Dr. Ford came back to her alma mater in 1988 to teach in the teacher education department. She will begin her twenty-four year as a faculty member and in 2009 she began Dean of Keeran School Education
