Professional Experience
Dr. Mitch Marshall has taught courses in Biology and the Life Sciences at Kentucky Christian University since 1984. Prior to coming to KCU, Mitch was a practicing family dentist in Grayson. Dr. Marshall served as chair of the Department of General Studies, now known as the School of Arts and Sciences from 1991 to 1995. During this time, he was instrumental in helping the university gain accreditation for the 5-9 Middle Grades Science education component for the Keeran School of Education. Dr. Marshall also served on the initial task force to create a nursing program at KCU; which led to the creation and accreditation of the Yancey School of Nursing.
Dr. Marshall's research interests include areas of medical developments and advancements to empower students with the most current information available for teaching, practicing nursing and to be an educated consumer. His other interest area is completion of educational requirements to keep his dental license valid for the state of Kentucky.
Dr. Marshall's is actively involved at the Oak Grove Church of Christ in Grayson where he serves as a Deacon.
