February Bible Bowl Tournament

Registration is NOW OPEN for the Kentucky Christian University February Bible Bowl Tournament. This will be a round robin and a Shotgun-style double elimination tournament. The tournament will be help on the campus of Kentucky Christian University. Due to the fact that classes are in session, there will be no housing on campus. Please see the contact information for Grayson hotels at the bottom of the page. When making your reservations, please let them know that you are attending a KCU event.

Tournament Details

The tentative schedule for the weekend will be as follows:

Friday, Feb 10:

• 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Registration
• 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm Coaches/Quizmasters Meeting
• 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm Dinner
• 5:30 pm to 5:50 pm General Meeting
• 5:30 pm to 6:15 pm Written Exam (200 points)
• 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Round Robin Competition
• 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm Visit Local Restaurants

Saturday, Feb 11:

• 7:45 am to 8:45 am Breakfast
• 9:00 am to 11:30 am Round Robin Competition
• 11:30 am to 1:00 pm Lunch
• 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm Round Robin Competition
• 4:45 pm to 6:00 pm Dinner
• 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm Evening Activity

Sunday, Feb 12:

• 7:30 am to 8:20 am Breakfast
• 8:25 am to 8:45 am Meeting
• 8:45 am to 10:50 am Shotgun Tournament
• 11:00 am to 11:45 am Worship
• 11:45 am to 1:00 pm Lunch
• 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm Semi-finals, Finals, Awardsds

The text for the February tournament is Matthew chapters 1-22. The first teams to submit their team registration form and $85 team registration fee (non refundable) will be registered for the February tournament.  We will be playing two divisions. You may request a division (upper or novice) but the final decision will be made by the tournament director.

QUESTION REQUIREMENTS:

Each team must prepare the following questions for the tournament:

26 toss-ups questions:

• 14 Keyword Toss-ups (5 2-part)
• 6 General Toss-ups (1 2-part) (1 must be from a memory verse & must use the memory verse reference in the leadin)
• 3 Category Toss-up Questions

• 3 Word Game Toss-up Questions

  12 Bonus questions:

DO NOT SUBMIT ANY:  CONTEXT, CHAPTER ID, MEMORY VERSE, OR CHAPTER LIST BONUS QUESTIONS

All questions must be prepared in the QUESTION WRITER PROGRAM.  This program can be purchased from National Bible Bowl for $25.00.  (Please run update manager prior to each time you use the program)

All questions must be posted to the internet through the question writing program by midnight on December 1...no exceptions.

Group Registration

There are two options to register your team.  You can print off the PDF file of the Team Registration Form and mail it in with your check or you can register your team online (there will be a $5.00 convenience fee for credit card processing). Registration deadline is December 1, 2011.

Individual Registration

Individual registration fees for both players and sponsors ($55) and forms are due upon arrival. Forms can be downloaded here and copied for each participant in your group (forms are for players only).
