Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

Students in the KCU School of Business and Leadership can choose to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with one of 3 possible areas of emphasis.

Emphases:

Accounting

Students earning an emphasis in Accounting will take 30 hours of classes that will enable them to identify and interpret the financial story of any size organization, both for-profit and not-for-profit. The This emphasis provides all the accounting course hours that are required for an individual to take the C.P.A. (Certified Public Accountant) exam or the C.M.A (Certified Management Accountant). Graduates have gone on to careers in small companies, international companies, banks and Public Accounting firms.

Management

Students earning an emphasis in Management will take a broad range of courses designed to help them lead and inspire others in any size and any type of organization. They will be equipped to analyze ever-changing circumstances and lead people to continually make decisions that add value to the organization and help it achieve its goals. Graduates have gone on to careers in retail, manufacturing, insurance, marketing, banking, not-for-profit organizational management, and a host of others. Some have started their own businesses.

Sports Management

Students earning an emphasis in Sports Management will take a range of courses designed to prepare them for jobs in the rapidly growing field of sports and athletic entertainment. Graduates can find administrative careers in athletic teams, leagues and events.

Primary Desired Outcomes:

Our desire is that graduates of the KCU School of Business and Leadership will be able to:

  • Demonstrate people skills to make a great first impression when meeting new people
  • Effectively demonstrate high character in team settings
